Couples For Christ (CFC Ancop Australia) and Gawad Kalinga (GK) Australia would like to make the following joint statement:
CFC Ancop (Australia) started Gawad Kalinga in Australia several years ago as CFC’s (Couples for Christ) “work with the poor” ministry. Since then, CFC Ancop (using the trading name GK Ancop Australia or GKAA) has facilitated the work of GK in Australia.
However, following CFC’s decision to “let go” of GK worldwide and for CFC to just focus on ANCOP as its work with the poor, the time has come for CFC Ancop Australia to turn over the GK work to the new GK Australia.
Therefore, effective immediately, CFC Ancop will cease to be involved with GK work in Australia. GK Australia will now be responsible for all GK work, events and activities in Australia. CFC Ancop, on the other hand, will focus on ANCOP as its work with the poor.
GK honours the tremendous work of CFC ANCOP in Australia in its efforts in building the work of GK in Australia. It thanks all CFC ANCOP directors, staff and volunteers for their commitment.
