Cesar Guarin, father of four and graduate of the University of the Philippines is determined to be the first Asian to run across the globe. Photo above was taken in Canberra prior to his arrival in Sydney on November 12, after running for 234 kms in 6 straight days.
So far, Mr. Guarin has completed Trans Philippines run of 2,251 kms, Trans USA run of 4,960 kms. Trans Europe run of 3,756 kms, and US-Canada run of 1,272 kms.
He is now on his 5th stage, Global Run Australia where he is currently running from Melbourne all the way to Brisbane for a total of 2,053 kms which he expects to accomplish in 37 days.
Cesar Guarin will be running 23,000 kilometres crossing 28 countries in 447 days. His mission is to bring hope to the poor children of the Philippines as well as pay tribute to the sacrifices and contributions of overseas Filipino workers and migrants across the globe.
