Southern Philippines recently suffered significant damages from floods and landslides due to Tropical Storm Sendong (International Code Name: Washi). In particular, massive flooding has been reported all over Region 10 (Iligan City of Lanao del Norte, Valencia City of Bukidnon, Cagayan de Oro City of Misamis Oriental, and 6 villages of Ozamis City, Misamis Occidental. Reports affirmed that the overflowing of the river systems of Mandulog and Agus as the source of the flooding.
In response to the call for assistance to victims of floods and landslides in Southern Philippines (Mindanao), the Australian Mindanao Multicultural Communities Inc. and the Australian Visayan Multicultural Communities Inc. is appealing for the needed financial assistance to the victims of typhoon Sendong.
All proceeds will be donated to local non-government organizations in the affected provinces of Southern Philippines. Donation can be deposited in the bank. Details are :
