, 2012. It was a close fight which ended in the declaration of businessman Arturo “Atoy” Sayas as the new President of Philippine Community Council – NSW (PCC-NSW). Serna Ladia was the other candidate who ran for the seat. PCC Past President Malyn Andres-Chun acted as Returning Officer.
Of the 52 PCC affiliates present, 29 votes were cast in favour of Sayas while Ladia garnered 22 votes. One affiliate abstained from voting. PCC has a total of 55 affiliates but only 52 were present during the AGM and poll. Mao de Vera and Angie Jenkins originally contested the seat of Internal Auditor but the latter withdrew before the actual election, ceding the position to de Vera. All other officers and directors ran and won unopposed.
