PCC-NSW, the peak body organization of Philippine associations in the State, has achieved a major milestone with the launch of its new headquarters at the Nirimba Business Centre, Quakers Hill on June1, 2012. After more than two decades of existence, the wheels were finally set in motion and came to fruition.
The official ribbon cutting was officiated by Philippine Consul-General Anne Jalando-on Louis and attended by over thirty community and business leaders, media, PCC-NSW officers and past PCC-NSW presidents.
Philippine Consul-General Louis said, “This is a milestone for PCC. For those who will work and come to your new office, may you all be guided and may this further help strengthen the association in the years to come. “
The plan for PCC’s own premises was hatched as far back as 2010 under the leadership of former president Elsa Collado. It has been a slow process, but this year new president Atoy Sayas and his pro-active board pushed for the establishment of a permanent office.
Philippines Airlines country manager Arnul Pan said, “This is a dream come true. Congratulations to President Atoy Sayas and his board.”
Past PCC-NSW President Rey Manoto was excited but said: “this is a great achievement for PCC, but it has to be sustained.”
