. — “Through songs and dances, Bicolandia’s unique culture and heritage were showcased during simple induction ceremonies held on August 12 at P-Noy Lounge” said Bicol Inc’s Chairman Ross Iglesia.
For a very reasonable entrance fee of only $10, members and guests were treated to Bicol delicacies such as ‘Laing’ and ‘Bicol Express.’ Mr. Iglesia added: “We set out to be frugal with our association’s monies and decided not to go for expensive hotel venues knowing fully well that we have not had any fundraising events yet to fund our various community projects.”
Victor Valdez and partner thrilled the audience with their spectacular dance costume which was eventually shed off to perform a dazzling dance number.
In hindsight, Iglesia admitted that they should have selected a bigger venue to accommodate the huge demand for seats. There were close to 150 members and guests who attended the event in a venue that could seat less than 100 persons comfortably. Very noticeable was the absence of Josie Musa and her 22 new recruits, some of whom were reportedly based in Central Coast. Overall, it was a truly enjoyable evening.
Thanks for the auspicious writeup. It in truth used to be a leisure account it.
