With thousands of well-wishers and shoppers, Good Luck Plaza and G&L Supermarket Mt. Druitt opened its doors to the public amid firecrackers and Lion Dancers.
General Manager Ning He (2nd from left) delivered his inaugural speech welcoming various dignitaries that included former Blacktown City Mayor Charlie Lowles (ctr), Cr. Jess Diaz, and Allen Lee, President of Australia Chinese Community Association.
In his speech, Mr. He said: “It is with great pride that we at the Good Luck Plaza and G & L Super Market Mount Druitt have been able to commission and officially unveil this new and modern Plaza today. A special thanks to Blacktown city council for their support throughout the development and construction of this plaza. I would also like to thank our suppliers and most importantly our guests here today.”
Good Luck Plaza is located in the heart of Mount Druitt and is close to public facilities, such as train and bus stations. The total area of the plaza is 13,000 square meters. It consists of over 25 specialty shops that include a range of Asian food, fresh produce, coffee shop, restaurants, fashion shop and a travel agent, just to name a few. G & L Supermarket alone covers over 2,000 sq. m. of retail shopping area and delivers a multicultural range of food products to meet the needs of shoppers.
“We strive to provide the local community in the Sydney region with a wide range of choice products at the lowest possible prices, whilst providing a service that is second to none,” Mr. He said, adding that Good Luck Plaza aims to create new job opportunities within the local community.
An ocular inspection of the compound revealed that there is ample parking space, including a ramp for disabled customers.
