Nov. 23, 2012. London-based movie and stage actress Monique Wilson admitted that she’s a lesbian. Her name soared in popularity when she played the role of Kim in the world-famous theatre production of Miss Saigon.
Now 42 years old, this daughter of TV host Johnny Wilson said: “The reason I decided to come out is linked to (the project) ‘One Billion Rising.’ Every time I come home, I see that young gay people here are so marginalized, are so discriminated against and that there’s so much violence going on toward them.”
“One Billion Rising” will be held on Valentine’s Day in 2013. A billion women from all over the world will dance simultaneously to demand for the end of women abuse.
Reactions to Monique’s declaration has so far been positive. “Go Monique! We support you,” said a facebook fan.
