Dr. Leonardo Santos, a Filipino-Australian doctor employed as Senior Staff Specialist, Department of Anatomical Pathology, Sydney South West Area Health Services was one of two awardees as MOST OUTSTANDING ALUMNI IN MEDICAL RESEARCH.
The award ceremony was part of the 2013 Homecoming by the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay Memorial Medical College held on 7 February at the Manila Hotel.
Dr. Santos graduated in Medicine at the UERMMC in 1976. His credentials include: Fellow, Philippine Society of Anatomical Pathologists; Fellow, Philippine Society of Clinical Pathologists; Fellow, US Navy Medical Research Unit (NAMRU) – San Lazaro Hospital; Fellow, The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia; Fellow, International Society of Cytology and Acting Professor (Conjoint) University of New South Wales and University of Western Sydney. It was in 1988 when Dr. Santos and family migrated to Australia.
