Restaurant owner trying to collect money lent; Loan is more than 2 years old

According to Mr. Lope Pabico, the producer of a show featuring Filipino actress/singer Sarah Geronimo approached him to borrow $20,000.

Mr. Pabico said that he handed cold cash in tranches of $5,000 and $10,000 based on a promise that a signed promissory note would be delivered by Mr. Bong David.

Pabico reported to Philippine Sentinel that the promised written debt acknowledgment never came and the loan has remained unpaid to this day. A local barrister who was consulted by Mr. Pabico said that a promissory note was not necessary to institute collection procedures.

Mr. David who used to own a smash repair shop in Mt. Druitt eventually could no longer be located. When visited by a reporter of Philippine Sentinel, it was determined that the car repair shop was no longer in its former location.

According to sources, David is a member of a religious congregation based in Minchinbury NSW. Mr. Pabico is seeking the help of church members to use moral suasion for the return of his money.

When finally contacted by this writer, David denied that he ever borrowed money from Lope Pabico. He alleged that no cash ever passed his hands and that there were some other people involved in the production of the Sarah Geronimo Show.
