Cr. Stephen Bali, (Ward 4) gets elected as Mayor of the City of Blacktown NSW during a secret ballot (8-7) held on 17 September 2014.The Labor Party once again dominates Blacktown Council.
The new mayor has been a strong advocate against a second airport at Badgerys Creek but Tony Abbott pushed for it shortly after he became Prime Minister.
The new airport won’t be operational till after 10 years.
