There are reports that Alric Bulseco once again blew his top during the last board meeting of the Philippine Community Council – NSW (PCC). True to his uncontrollable explosive temper, this ‘gentle’ man from Ateneo de Davao was enraged by last month’s article in Philippine Sentinel about the “Ugnayan turned Ungguyan.” He blamed some members of the PCC board for the media leak but could not pinpoint which one in particular.
Come now, Mr. Bulseco. Behave yourself and act like a true Atenean that you surreptitiously claim to be. Don’t forget that you have an enlarged heart that is being regulated by a pacemaker. It might burst anytime soon. Then it won’t be necessary for you to commit harakiri — if you have the guts.
It was also reported that Mr. Jun Relunia, incumbent president of PCC was disappointed by the negative tone of the report published in Philippine Sentinel. The pressure mounted when Bulseco asked him to retract the apology he made to Ms. Sol Lapalma.
But why should he? It is expected of any PCC president to accept responsibility over the unruly behaviour of some members of the board. It is called command responsibility which is the mark of a true gentleman and CEO. Relunia gained the respect of PCC affiliates because of that apology.
Let me give you a hint, Mr. Relunia. All you need to do is sack that troublemaker in the PCC board and you will gain more respect from the media. You will rid PCC of many of its problems when you do that. I’ll even give you a good reason — unbecoming behaviour of an officer of PCC. It happened not just once but many times, during and even before your term.
You apparently want to project the image of being a nice person. But you cannot be nice all the time. You need to be decisive. You need to exercise authority. You must sack undeserving persons. Do you have the guts to do that? Can you make an executive decision? — Dino Crescini
