This is a true story about a Filipino migrant family settling in Melbourne in 1977. It is a fascinating read, as it tells of the emotions, the ups and downs, and generous government assistance in those days. It is also about the practicalities, the difficulties, and sudden change of lifestyle and culture. It tells about the joys of living in Australia in the 1970’s — a paradise in so many ways, with great opportunities for a good life.
The wife is suddenly confronted with severe trauma, closely followed by another. It was a time in her live when everything appeared perfect. Her near death experience resulted in new beliefs and understanding which inspired her to write this book.
