The Philippine Health Care Association of Australia (PHCAA) with the help of Fr. Raning Creta, (Filipino Chaplain), Michelle Barrera and the staff of Cardinal Stepinac Village, coordinated the campaign for relief goods. Total cash donations received from Cardinal Stepinac Village CEO Matt Smolcic, Fr. Raning Creta, and Maria Nepomuceno amounted to $1,670. Assorted medicines worth $500 were donated by St. John’s Pharmacy.
As of this writing, over 100 boxes of relief goods have been sent, courtesy of Austral Cargo, to various recipients in the Philippines. More will be sent free of charge over the next 3 months. Fr. Emmanuel Escano of Pangasinan, Fr. Miko Rescate and Gerve Magallanes of Jesus Christ Community in Novaliches were among the recipients of cash donations sent by PHCAA. – ?
