There are a few things of interest in the previous month’s issue, but none so more than China’s obvious contempt for the Philippines (and any of its ally) and its continuous push to take over Philippine territory.
No point looking to President Aquino to do much. Dora The Explorer has more balls than him to do anything in the nation’s real interest — unless of course, that interest is also in his family’s interest.
While preferable to the radical Muslim problem, the Chinese are still little better in the way they seem to conduct themselves on the international stage.
The elections are scheduled for next year. Will the Filipino people use this opportunity to use some common sense, or will some person’s famous mother die just in time for them to feel sorry enough to risk the future of the country even more by voting for them?
Last election, after much thought, the duo of Richard Gordon and Bayani Fernando would have been the obvious choice. So many good ideas, a breath of fresh air in a country that needs it.
Talk is that Miriam Defensor Santiago may attempt to again run for presidency following her very suspect defeat to [Fidel] Ramos some years back. This is a very exciting development. A woman with far more balls to stand up to the Chinese than any male politician there; a woman who says what she thinks, no matter what the consequences. Time to make a serious change, otherwise the country might as well vote for a noted airhead, and prime embarrassment — Kris Aquinio. I truly believe Ms Santiago is worth giving a go.
Don’t get me going on infrastructure — this fires me up about the Aquinos even more. The country would be far better off getting Gloria Arroyo back than an Aquino if they have any desire for real infrastructure. But that’s a different topic from the Chinese invaders.
Have to say I have no great issue with gay marriage. We need to cut down the population anyway. Can’t understand the desire to have another man’s bottom when there are so my beautiful, if not gossipy, Filipinas out there. But I guess if you’re born that way, then you can’t change it.
Some of my dearest friends are also gay, one being the godfather of my beloved little girl. I really don’t think much about it, as long as they don’t try to feel me up.
