As seen on the November 2019 issue of The Philippine Sentinel
Vice President Leni Robredo was in Sydney, Australia on October 9, to attend an event hosted by the Australia-Philippines Business Council (APBC). During her very brief visit, the vice president found time to meet with various Filipino community leaders at her chosen hotel in Barangaroo.
Prior to her departure on October 12 and being a Bicolana herself, she found time to attend the annual Peñafrancia Festival in Penrith which was organised by the Australian Devotees of Our Lady of Peñafrancia (ADOLP).
She left for Kingsford Smith International Airport immediately after attending mass which was concelebrated and led by the Papal Nuncio Adolfo Tito Yllana.
She spoke about Women in Business during her Sydney engagement. It was
not a state visit. Her travel to Australia was sourced from her own personal funds. Ω
