Airline refused refund
My husband Robert was booked to return from Manila to Sydney on March 20 but Duterte cancelled all flights.
I had no option but to rebook him on the earliest flight on April 15, 2020. (Booking Reference SFWQNZ.) I had to bite the bullet when our prime minister announced that all Australians should go back ASAP. I had no recourse but to buy an expensive ticket from Qantas so he was able to fly out from the Philippines on March 20. I called Cebu Pacific to cancel his booking but they told me that they could not refund or give a travel voucher because the flight was still OK. Robert is now back in Sydney.
