PASC to host bowling tournament at Rooty Hill RSL

Philippine Australia Sports & Culture Inc. will host its annual Ten Pin Bowling competition on Saturday, 07 August 2010 at the new Rooty Hill RSL AMF, at 55 Sherbrooke Street, Rooty Hill, NSW.

Registration starts at 1:15pm up to 1:45pm. Roll off will start promptly at 2:00pm. Entry fee is only $35 per person or $70 per team.

Tournament format is 9-pin, no tap, meaning that 9 pinfalls on the first ball will be considered a strike.

At stake are various trophies and a cash prize of $300 for the Team Champion and $150 for the Team Runner-up. Trophies will also be awarded in the following categories: High Game Male; High Game Female; High Series Male; High Series Female.

Expected to participate in the competition are defending champions from the Ateneo Alumni Association of Australia.

Awarding of Prizes will coincide with Miss Philippines – Australia 2010 Presentation Night.

  1. There are three different finishes of bowling alley balls; Soft finish, hard finish and a finish in the middle of soft and hard. Balls with a soft finish usually have firmer grip on the lane ?n comparison to the harder ones. If the bowler is going for one ball then a ball with soft finish is a good idea.
