Do you have any concerns about coronary artery disease? How about breast, cervical or colorectal cancer? These are among the topics that will be discussed in a seminar about women’s health to be held on the 29th of August, 2:00pm at the Max Webber Library Function Centre in Blacktown.
To be presented by the University of the Philippines Alumni Association of Australia – New South Wales Chapter as part of it’s 30th anniversary, the seminar will have as its speaker Dr. Corazon Alvarez-Francisco, recipient of the association’s Outstanding Alumni Achievement Award for Medicine & Allied Fields in 2008. Since migrating to Australia, she founded the Philippine Australian Medical Association, and established her own solo practice in Quakers Hill NSW which is fully accredited by the Australian General Practice Accreditation Limited, and which has a patient base of 95% Filipinos. She is also the first Filipino doctor to become a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners.
Dr. Francisco will share her knowledge as general practitioner, obstetrician and gynaecologist in this event which is the third in UPAAA-NSW’s Seminar Series. The fee is only $5.00 per person, inclusive of entry and refreshments.
